Ensuring Future Growth In Petrolia

May 7, 2018 – Lee Michaels, Blackburn News – One of the best wastewater treatment plants in Ontario had its grand opening Monday.

Petrolia Mayor John McCharles says the $14.3-million facility has ensured population growth in the area.

“This new project opens that up for us,” says McCharles. “It presents many opportunities for future development and expansion of area businesses and secures the future of Petrolia. We’re extremely grateful to the federal and provincial partnership on this project.”

Upper tier government and the town provided funding for the project which is the biggest infrastructure project in recent years in the Hard Oil Town.

The public will have a chance to tour the facility during the next Lambton Open Doors event tentatively scheduled for next year.
