The Blue Flag is flying in Lambton Shores again in 2011!  The Grand Bend Marina, Port Franks Marina, and Grand Bend Beach have all been awared Blue Flag status for 2011.

The Blue Flag is a highly respected and recognized international eco-label awarded to beaches and marinas that meet strict criteria relating to water quality and environmental stewardship.

Lambton Shores is located in the northern section of Sarnia-Lambton. It is bordered on the north by the waters of Lake Huron, the east by the County of Middlesex, the south by Warwick, and the west by Plympton-Wyoming. Lambton Shores is a very picturesque area, and its sandy beaches, Oak Savanna forest of the Pinery Provincial Park, and scenic waterfalls at Rock Glen draw many tourists. Perhaps best know for the Village of Grand Bend and its fabulous beach and entertainment spots.

Lambton Shores includes the communities of Forest (location of the municipality's Forest Industrial Park), Arkona, Bosanquet, Forest, Grand Bend, Port Franks, and Thedford.
