The Business Process Outsourcing sector is an important contributor to the Sarnia-Lambton economy. The industry has a policy of promoting from within, and provides excellent opportunities for employees eager to advance their careers.
With Sarnia-Lambton's educated and affordable workforce, inexpensive properties, and state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, Sarnia-Lambton meets the needs of business process outsourcing. Opportunities exist for smaller speciality outsourcing facilities.
Sarnia-Lambton's Business Process Outsourcing companies:
- NCO Customer Management Ltd. Approximately 600 full and part-time jobs are filled at NCO's Sarnia location. This centre specializes in customer relations and accounts receivable management. Note - NCO announced in January 2012 that it would be closing this facility in March 2012.
- Marriott Reservations Centre This world-wide reservations centre employs approximately 450 people at the company's Sarnia location.
- Osprey Media This inbound classified ad centre employs approximately 150 people at its Sarnia location.
Currently the Bayside Centre in downtown Sarnia has an excellent location available that is configured for call centre use, including a backup generator.
