Standards Council of Canada - Customer Services - Information

Standards Council of Canada - Customer Service - Information
The Standards Council of Canada is a federal Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization. Located in Ottawa, the Standards Council has a 15 member governing Council and a staff of approximately 80. Standards are publications that establish accepted practices, technical requirements and terminologies for diverse fields of human endeavour. The information service provides potential exporters with immediate technical information on standard, technical regulations and certification programs used in Canada and all over the world – including such important markets as the European Union, the United States and Asia-Pacific. Much of this information is available through SCC.CA, the Standards Council’s new Internet-based information service. The Information Service also maintains other interactive databases on Canadian standards and specifications, standards referenced in Canadian federal legislation, international standards published by the International Organization for Standardization - ISO, and testing and calibration laboratories in Canada and the United States accredited by the Standards Council.
