Homes

Sarnia-Lambton offers a wide range of waterfront, urban and rural housing options. New housing is being built across Sarnia-Lambton, including a number of high-end waterfront condominium, apartment, and golf course housing projects.

Among the projects underway are a new $30 million 15 storey condominium project by Tricar Group of London. This investment by Tricar is in addition to the 14 storey Harbour Front condominium overlooking Sarnia Bay, just recently completed. A new $18 million retirement housing project by the Steeves and Rozema Group of Sarnia is rising on Exmouth Street in Sarnia. These new projects add to the varied mix of housing options in Sarnia-Lambton.

Sarnia-Lambton is a place where young people starting out can still afford to buy a home.  The average sale price in Sarnia-Lambton in November, 2008, was $187,397; and a good detached family home can be purchased for even less. Compared to the the forecasted national average price of $295,000 (source - thestar.com, January 28, 2009), Sarnia-Lambton's housing offers opportunity for many to start on the property ladder. For those moving to the area from centres such as Toronto, Burlington, Markham, and Mississauga, Sarnia-Lambton offers a very appealing cost comparision.
