New restaurant now open on former Chipican site

Lake Point Grillhouse & Lounge, the six days a week restaurant “rebirthed” at the site of the former Chipican restaurant, is now open for business.

A full renovation of the building, now owned by Laurie and Dean Frayne, was completed recently and breakfast, lunch and dinner are now being served, six days a week (they’re closed on Monday).

Tuesday-Wednesday hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The restaurant is located on the east side of Christina St. North one door from Michigan Avenue. Call (519) 384-5253 for more information and reservations.
