The municipality of the Township of St. Clair is located on the west side of Sarnia-Lambton, bordered by the St. Clair River on the west, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to the south, Dawn-Euphemia and Enniskillen to the east, and the City of Sarnia to the north.

St. Clair's communities include Corunna, Mooretown, Courtright, Sombra, Port Lambton, Wilkesport, and Bridgen.

The Bluewater Ferry crosses the St. Clair River at Sombra. Operating since 1948, ferries transport cars, trucks, and pedestrians to Marine City, Michigan and back

The St. Clair municipal office is located at 1155 Emily Street, Mooretown.
