On the Go with the Economic Partnership
This is a new, regular feature in Taking Care of Business designed to keep the community abreast of the Economic Partnership’s activities.
The old expression that says, “moss doesn’t grow on a rolling stone”, most certainly describes daily life at the Economic Partnership. As you know, the Economic Partnership offers two inter-related services: one that attracts new investment and the other that gives business counsel in the eleven municipalities of Sarnia-Lambton.
The services to local business have seen a steady rise in demand. They are a free service to the community with three main areas of expertise, ie. start-up ventures, business growth and export development. The Business Retention and Expansion program is also a part of this service.
Investment promotion has been focused on a targeted-sector approach, eg. energy, automotive, bio-industrial. For each sector, the Economic Partnership uses a strategic combination of advertising, event participation and direct mail activities. The new University of Western Ontario R&D Park is also a very important part of industry attraction to Sarnia-Lambton.
The following timetable outlines the Economic Partnership’s scheduled activities over the next three months. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us by telephone (519) 332-1820 or email info@sarnialambton.on.ca.
