A thriving arts and culture scene has everything from nationally significant art collections to live theatre, museums, fabulous festivals, art galleries and an International Symphony Orchestra.
Creative County
In 2012 the Lambton Creative County Committee was formed. The objective of this committee is to encourage, partner and fund activities that build a better sense of identity, history and pride of place in Lambton.
The Creative County Committee carries an annual $75,000 budget to award to partner projects, events, activities or workshops.

Galleries
Sarnia-Lambton has a number of art galleries presenting notable collections and interesting shows. The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, for example, maintains a collection of Canada’s Group of Seven artists. Other galleries feature rotating shows and local talent. There are also a number of interesting and talented artisans and artists creating and selling their work throughout Sarnia-Lambton.

Museums
A number of popular museums operate in several of Sarnia-Lambton’s municipalities. From the Lambton Heritage Museum with over 25,000 artifacts, to the Stones ‘N Bones esoteric collection, there are exhibits to suit a wide range of interests. For the genealogy specialist or those with a curiosity, the Lambton County Archives is the place for family research.

Music and Festivals
Music and festivals are part of Sarnia-Lambton’s active arts scene. Summer concerts, ranging from outdoor evening performances with local entertainers to large-scale music events, the International Symphony Orchestra, the Sarnia Concert Series, the Lambton Concert Band, as well as clubs and private music venues round out Sarnia-Lambton’s active music scene.

Come to the fair! Lambton County fall fairs are a great way to spend a day. From crafts, baking and produce, amusement rides, entertainment, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and of course live Rock, there is something for everyone.
