April 20, 2017 – Stephanie Chaves, Blackburn News – Lambton College is ranked number one in Ontario for employer satisfaction.
According to the latest Key Performance Indicator report, the college earned a perfect score with 100% of employers surveyed reporting they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the skills of their new hires.
Vice President of Student Success and Campus Services Rob Kardas says being able to report a perfect employer satisfaction rate is an awesome achievement for the college.
“I think it may be the first time we’ve had a perfect score,” says Kardas. ” We’ve always scored very well in this area and have always been very high in the province. We’ve owned the number one spot before, and then we might have fallen to 3 or 4, but now we’re back at number one.”
Kardas says the college’s relationships with local employers is key to their students obtaining meaningful employment.
When it came to student satisfaction, Lambton also scored above the provincial average. Students surveyed answered questions about the overall learning experience, college services and campus facilities.
The survey of Ontario’s 24 community colleges is conducted on an annual basis.
