New community brand unveiled

Lambton County unveiled a new community brand Thursday morning with the tag line “Discoveries That Matter.”

The brand was created by a group representing organizations across Lambton County. Working with the marketing design company YFactor, the new brand had a price tag of $70,000.

CEO of YFactor Anya Kodak says coming up with the design was a lengthy process.

Background information says the term “Discoveries” references exploration, new beginnings, growth and development, while “That Matter” captures the idea of being meaningful, important and recognized while also alluding to chemical matter.

GM of Tourism Sarnia-Lambton Marlene Wood says now the new brand is in place the community needs to help build it moving forward.

The logo’s 14 flags represents the 11 municipalities and three First Nation communities in the county.
