Public to be updated on community brand for Lambton County

Lambton County, Ontario – September 27, 2013 – Residents of Lambton County are invited to attend two public meetings to hear a progress report on Lambton County’s community branding project.

At the meetings Ed Barlow, of North Star Destination Strategies, will present an overview of the research conducted, the research results and the resulting “brand identity” for Lambton. The “brand identity” is the unique positive identifier that sets Lambton apart from other communities, and the result of the in-depth research on which the logo and tag line will be created. The “brand identity” is not the logo or the tag line that will represent the brand, which are still to come.

“North Star Destination Strategies has spent many months gathering and analysing information about Lambton,” said Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership general manager George Mallay. Mallay noted that both factual information and perceptions of the area, both internal and external, have been studied. “The community has been very involved in the process and we are grateful for all the input we have received. This is an excellent opportunity to learn what all that information has been boiled down to.”

Lambton County residents are invited to join Ed Barlow of North Star Destination Strategies and members of the community branding committee on Wednesday, October 16, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Grand Bend Canadian Legion, 20 Municipal Drive, Grand Bend, or at the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership’s annual public meeting the morning of Thursday, October 17. Ed will be the guest speaker at the Economic Partnership meeting, which will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Lambton Inn, 1457 London Road, Sarnia.

Anyone planning to attend the October 17th Economic Partnership meeting is asked to register at 519-332-1820 or 1-800-972-7642, or online at http://tinyurl.com/lcbranding.
