SARNIA – PROFIT Magazine recently unveiled its latest listing of Canada’s most promising businesses, and a Sarnia home renovation and design company has made the prestigious cut.

The PROFIT Hot 50, a ranking of Canada’s top new growth companies, will be published in the October issue of the magazine.

In order to even get on the radar of the business publication this year, a company’s minimum two-year revenue growth had to be at least 351 per cent — the highest cut-off rate in the ranking’s history.

Sarnia’s William Standen Co. made the list at number 48 with a two-year revenue growth of 368 per cent.

The company’s co-founders, Patrick MacLean, and Cassandra Nordell-MacLean, are thrilled to be included in such a small group of dynamic, fast-growing Canadian companies.

“We are ecstatic to be on the PROFIT HOT 50 ranking. This great achievement is a reflection of our passion and ruthless dedication to our industry,” says Cassandra Nordell-MacLean, chief of vision & difference.

She is among the 11 per cent of CEOs on the list who are female, and both she and MacLean – at 29 and 30, respectively – are below the average age of 37.

The company had just two full-time employees in 2010, and four in 2012.

William Standen Co. is a full service kitchen and bath design and turnkey renovation firm.
