Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership announces Alumni Network Project events

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is pleased to announce two networking events as a result of the organization’s Alumni Network Project research.

Aimed at connecting university alumni in the Sarnia-Lambton area, the Project was created with the goal of determining the interests of the area’s alumni as well as identifying activities that they would like to participate in.

A strong response to the Alumni Network Project’s survey indicated that the region’s university alumni were interested in connecting with other area alumni, regardless of alma mater.

Chief Executive Officer of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, Stephen Thompson, said “our goal is to connect as many individuals as possible in the hopes that they will develop professional relationships that enhance their experience in Sarnia-Lambton as well as elevate the experience of existing residents and serve as a platform for growth in the region.”

Based on the survey results, the Alumni Network Project team has planned the first two networking events, giving attendees a chance to socialize, network, and participate in professional development.

These networking events are as follows, with extended descriptions found below

  • Network Like A Pro – Feb. 4, 2019, 7:30pm at ALTSPACE, 136 Christina St. N, Sarnia
  • Entrepreneur Meetup – Feb. 11, 2019, 7:30pm at Crabby Joe’s, 4236 Petrolia Line, Petrolia

*These events are free with no registration required.*

The Alumni Network Project also hopes to identify individuals interested in mentoring other alumni in the area at these events, while also collecting input for possible future networking events.
