SLEP hosting Small Business Corner at Lambton College Career Fair

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is encouraging local job seekers to attend the area’s largest career fair, held at Lambton College on Thursday, March 12 from 10:30am – 1:30pm.

The job fair will feature more than 80 employers from across all sectors in the Sarnia-Lambton area who will be showcasing job opportunities ranging from retail to manufacturing to hospitality, agriculture, health care, and beyond. Job opportunities will include openings for experienced workers, newcomers, and students.

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is supporting the event by hosting a Small Business Corner geared towards helping small businesses connect with local talent. The Small Business Corner will offer a shared space with high top tables, designed for a more casual and inviting networking experience with job seekers, without the pressure to fill a full booth space or commitment to the full day.

“The Sarnia-Lambton area has a strong job market and that is showcased with the number of businesses promoting quality job opportunities at the Lambton College Career Fair,” said Stephen Thompson, CEO of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership.

“By collaborating with the College and offering the Small Business Corner, we are able to further promote the number of jobs that are available to area residents and fill job vacancies that exist with fantastic local employers,” he noted, adding “This career fair has expanded to include opportunities for all local job seekers while also offering employers the chance to showcase all job openings.”

Interested job seekers can pre-register for the event by clicking HERE.

Employers can also participate in two free sessions either before or after the job fair which will focus on How to Find Great Job Seekers and Hiring Global Talent.
