The deal has officially closed.
Back in October of 2020, it was announced that ARLANXEO Canada Inc. would be selling its olefins business to Diamond Petrochemicals Canada, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corp. The final sale was scheduled for mid 2021 and today the deal officially closed.
ARLANXEO stated that employees will transfer to Mitsubishi operations.
The butyl rubber manufacturing operation in Sarnia will remain with ARLANXEO which will continue to operate in the Bio-Industrial Park.
