A group of four women behind Lovewell Birth Collective and Wellness Shop have won new storefront space for a year.
The business run by doulas was crowned the victor of the Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation’s (SLBDC) third annual Win This Space contest Thursday.
There were five other finalists, all of whom went through business counselling sessions via SLBDC in the leadup to the finale at the Lambton College Event Centre.
The contest is designed to spur local entrepreneurship, mindful it’s often capital, not a lack of ideas, that hold businesses back, SLBDC officials said.
The win also comes with a free year’s membership to the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce.
