Business Mastermind Series Program Details

The Business Mastermind Series is a six-session program for experienced Sarnia-Lambton business owners who want to strengthen their business, learn from their peers and make more informed decisions about what comes next.

The series is intentionally limited to 12 participants, creating a small-group setting where business owners can have meaningful conversations, share their experiences and learn from one another throughout the program.

  • Dates: Bi-weekly Wednesdays from September 23 to December 2, 2026
  • Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Application deadline: September 7, 2026

Each session builds on the last, moving from defining your long-term goals and understanding the value of your business to strengthening your team, reducing owner dependency, building better systems and preparing for your future options. Explore the six sessions below to see what you’ll learn throughout the series.

Session 1: What’s Your End Game?

Start with the destination. Define what you want your business to give you in the future and assess what needs to change for the business to operate without depending on you.

Session 2: The Business of Value

Learn what makes a business valuable to a potential buyer or investor, from recurring revenue and strong systems to your team and brand, and identify opportunities to build greater value over time.

Session 3: People Power

Explore how to build a team that can think, make decisions and operate with greater independence. Consider how hiring, training and workplace culture can reduce reliance on the business owner.

Session 4: You Are the Bottleneck

Take an objective look at where you may be holding your business back. Identify where your time creates the most value, what can be delegated and where letting go could create room for growth.

Session 5: Systems = Freedom

Turn knowledge and repeatable tasks into processes your team can follow. Learn practical ways to document key systems so your business can operate more consistently without everything relying on you.

Session 6: Exit on Your Terms

Explore your options for the future, including succession, employee ownership, management buyouts and third-party sales. Understand why preparing early gives you more choices, even if an exit is still years away.

What to Expect

This is not a traditional workshop or classroom-style program.

The Business Mastermind Series is built around conversation, peer learning and the real experiences of participating business owners. Sessions will focus on topics and challenges that matter to the group, giving participants an opportunity to share what has worked for them, hear different perspectives and leave with practical ideas they can use in their own business.

Discussions will take place in a confidential setting so participants can speak openly about their experiences and challenges.

By participating in the Business Mastermind Series, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with experienced business owners and build relationships with people who understand the realities of running a business.
  • Learn from your peers by sharing experiences, ideas, successes and lessons learned.
  • Gain fresh perspectives on challenges or opportunities you may be working through.
  • Strengthen your decision-making by hearing how other business owners approach similar situations.
  • Make time to think ahead and focus on your priorities, goals and next steps.
