The recipients were formally recognized during SLEP's Legacy & Leadership Summit held on May 27, 2026, where business and community stakeholders gathered to discuss growth, leadership, business transition, and entrepreneurship across the region.

"We received more than 100 applications from businesses representing a wide range of industries across Lambton County," said Matthew Slotwinski, CEO of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership. "This shows there was a need for this program, but more importantly, that there are a significant number of businesses looking to pursue new growth, diversification, and employee retention activities. These entrepreneurs identified opportunities to strengthen and grow their businesses, and we are pleased to support those efforts through this program. Every investment matters for a small business, and we look forward to seeing the impact these projects will have in the months ahead."

The Sarnia-Lambton Small Business Support Grant was developed to assist businesses that are making investments in their operations and future growth. The program supports projects that help businesses improve productivity, expand services, strengthen competitiveness, and increase their long-term sustainability.
