May 7, 2018 - Lee Michaels, Blackburn News - One of the best wastewater treatment plants in Ontario had its grand opening Monday.Petrolia Mayor John McCharles says the $14.3-million facility has ensured population growth in the area.�This new project opens that up for us,� says McCharles. �It presents many opportunities for future development and expansion of area businesses and secures the future of Petrolia. We�re extremely grateful to the federal and provincial partnership on this project.�Upper tier government and the town provided funding for the project which is the biggest infrastructure project in recent years in the Hard Oil Town.The public will have a chance to tour the facility during the next Lambton Open Doors event tentatively scheduled for next year.
