Observer staff -�Tuesday, July 26, 2016 10:43:50 EDT AMTepperman�s is moving from the Lambton Mall.The home furnishings retailer announced Tuesday it plans to relocate to a larger location at the former Zellers Plaza on London Road by 2018.�Sarnia has been an incredible market for us over the last 20 years,� said CEO Andrew Tepperman in a news release.�This is our way of showing our Sarnia-Lambton families just how much we appreciate them bringing the Tepperman�s brand into their homes.�The new store, pegged at 38,000 square feet and 20 per cent larger than the current location, will be similar in design to the company�s newest Kitchener store, opened earlier this month, officials said.Features include a coffee and beverage bar, digital displays, credit kiosks and a Bargain Annex � a store-within-a-store, budget-minded concept that was not possible in the current Sarnia location, officials said.The company is partnering with Rob Dawson of Sarnia-based Lucror Property for the move.Dawson acquired the Zellers Plaza property earlier this year, and announced a $10-million redevelopment plan over five years for the 1249 London Rd. property.A $10 million redevelopment plan was also announced by the previous ownership group, Tierrasanta Investments in 2013 � months after the former Zellers store was shut down. Dawson has a family connection with Glenn Dawson, who was involved in the property�s former ownership group.A new Giant Tiger store opened last year in a renovated section of the former Zellers building.Tepperman�s has locations in London, Sarnia, Chatham, Windsor and Kitchener.
