The event was well attended with over 85 participants.The Economic Partnership hosted a reception at the PetroChem Canada conference in Edmonton (Nov 1st and 2nd) and Development Coordinator, Matthew Slotwinski, spoke as part of the Feasibility Panel.On October 29th and 30th, Sarnia-Lambton exhibited at the Toronto�Zoomer Show, a lifestyle expo for the 45+. Project Leader, Ted Zatylny has been attending similar shows as part of the Economic Partnership's resident attraction strategy for the past 7 years. The booth was co-partnered with Tourism Sarnia-Lambton.Development Coordinator, Matthew Slotwiniski�participated in the EDCO Think Smarter: Economic Development Forum, a conference about building smarter, innovative and more inclusive communities. He was busy networking�and forgot to snap a photo. At this event, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) announced its annual list of the 21 smartest communities and Sarnia-Lambton was honoured to be recognized as SMART21�for the 2nd consecutive year.On Manufacturing Day, October 7th, the new Global Business Opportunities Committee hosted the first "Export Community" gathering at Great Pretenders/Creative Education's new warehouse. The event was kicked off with an inspiring keynote by the export business owner, Joyce Keelan.Project Leader, Ted Zatylny, participated in the Arts Council of East Lambton's auction of art painted by local artists and amateurs.Our General Manager, George Mallay, and Development Coordinator, Matthew Slotwinski, attended the Waste and Recycling Expo in Toronto on November 9th and 10th.On November 15th, the Economic Partnership co-hosted the Teeny Tiny Southwest Summit in Brooke-Alvinston. 127 people attended the very successful and inspiring full-day event.Development Coordinator, Matthew Slotwinski, attended the PLMA (Private Label Trade Show) in Chicago, IL from November 13th-15th. ;--> Recent News HeadlinesSenator Tours Sarnia-LambtonNovember 16, 2016 � Melanie Irwin, Blackburn News � Sarnia is at the forefront of sustainable practices in the energy sector according to Canadian Senator Richard Neufeld, from British Columbia.
