SLEP Board of Directors Recruitment 2023

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) is a not-for-profit organization and the lead economic development agency for the Sarnia-Lambton area. With the backdrop of the beautiful blue water of Lake Huron, we have the privilege of promoting opportunities to “locate, start, grow and live” in Sarnia-Lambton.

At SLEP, we focus on the distinct advantages Sarnia-Lambton proudly offers companies and residents. By coordinating community-based economic development initiatives and working to maintain a commercially attractive environment, we foster new business creation and help ensure that established firms remain and grow in our region.

SLEP is searching for applicants to fill two volunteer positions on its Board of Directors. The term of office is three years.

Board members must be a resident of and/or own a business in Lambton County (City of Sarnia, Municipality of Lambton Shores, Town of Petrolia, Town of Plympton-Wyoming, Township of Dawn-Euphemia, Township of Brooke-Alvinston, Township of Enniskillen, Township of St. Clair, Township of Warwick, Village of Point Edward, Village of Oil Springs) or be a member of Aamjiwnaang, Kettle and Stony Point, or Walpole Island First Nation.

SLEP is committed to achieving the goal of 50% gender equity in those Board positions identified as “business directors”, and a Board that is diverse, inclusive, and reflective of the community at large. All applications will be evaluated for appropriate skills and expertise.
