Discoveries That Matter launch event and digital marketing seminar set for November 22

The Discoveries That Matter committee invites Lambton County entrepreneurs, businesses, and community stakeholders to celebrate the re-launch of www.discoveriesthatmatter.ca this Thursday, Nov. 22.

Following a complete redesign and update, www.discoveriesthatmatter.ca will be presented in conjunction with a digital marketing seminar this Thursday. The updated website will act as a gateway to the cultural and economic endeavours of Lambton County while also providing a resource for those interested in exploring of all that the region has to offer.

This event will focus on how businesses and individuals in the Sarnia-Lambton area can benefit from use of the Discoveries that Matter brand while also offer a close look at the updated website.

The sessions will also feature an exciting seminar that will provide insight on digital marketing best practices and aid companies in utilizing digital and social media to boost their brand awareness and customer base.

This digital marketing seminar will be presented by Matt Pasut, President of CR Creative Co, a full-service marketing agency based in Wyoming that has worked with thousands of businesses ranging from small start ups to Fortune 500 companies.

The digital marketing seminars are presented by the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership’s Business Enterprise Centre as part of the organization’s focus on branding and resident engagement that is a result of the recently adopted strategic plan. About Discoveries That Matter

Created in 2014, “Discoveries That Matter” is a community brand initiated by a committee of residents, businesses and not-for-profit organizations from within the County.

The community brand is designed to be used to produce a consistent, positive message for all of Lambton County, to be used both within and outside the area.

The slogan and logo are designed as a grass-roots movement for use by everyone in Lambton County. It features a customizable logo for a variety of geographical locations within the County as well as a more generic “standard” logo for use by any business, resident or organization.

Designed with 14 flags, representing Lambton County’s 11 municipalities and three First Nation communities, the flags symbolize natural aspects of our community by representing ripples or reeds, as well as industry, representing the spokes of a gear. Blue represents the clear skies and Great Lakes, green represents our rich nature and agriculture, while a soft yellow represents Lambton County’s famous sunsets.

Lambton County is a collection of agricultural, industrial and cultural communities all with unique identities. Using one community brand, Discoveries That Matter is encouraging residents to take pride in the County as well as build on the unique identity that the County has carved out throughout the years.
