Regional Competition

Congratulations to Christina Holley who traveled to Kitchener on Saturday, November 5th to represent Sarnia-Lambton at the 2005 Southwestern Region Secondary School Business Plan Competition. Christina’s business titled The Fancy Feather Dusters won the local competition and moved on as a finalist in the next level of competition. The Fancy Feather Dusters is based on the fact that families are now busier than ever and need time saving, convenient services to help manage their responsibilities at home. Christina will offer general house and apartment cleaning, but will also offer extra cleaning services on request. Truly a service that shines for a house to sparkle.

The Southwestern Regional winner was Melinda Goertz of Kitchener with her business titled Sweet Extravagance. The Provincial winner, business titled Wild Earth Boutique, was created by Sudbury’s Leah Reimer.

With her family present, Christina announced to everyone in attendance the importance of time when preparing a business plan. She took home a medal as a finalist and recommended her sister to compete next year.
