Today, Lambton College officially launched of the Canadian Extrusion Research Lab (CERL) at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park in Sarnia.
Lambton College has been at the forefront of collaborative applied research in the area of material development since the early 2000s. With a deep commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce and driving advancements in the material industry, the College has played a pivotal role in developing and enhancing technologies aimed at economic growth, mitigating health and environmental impacts and reducing material waste.
The recent establishment of the Canadian Extrusion Research Lab, nestled within Lambton’s Centre for Industrial Material Development, marks a significant milestone, elevating Lambton’s capacity to support this vital sector and addressing a critical infrastructure gap. This state-of-the-art facility will enable Lambton to further amplify its contributions to applied research projects and effectively meet the evolving research and development needs of this rapidly growing industry.
